To date, the only marathon I have run. 3:20:55 (the time at the top is the gun time not my time.) Ran the first half in 1:35:50. Hit the wall around mile 18 and walked/ran the last six miles. Tremendous sense of achievement (and relief) when I crossed the finish line. The week before, as a training run, I had run right around the perimeter of Manhattan; up the East River, round the top at Inwood, down to the Staten Island Ferry and round the lower East Side/Brooklyn Bridge. 30 miles approx.Sunday, May 2, 2004
